Book premiere "Between Heaven and Tündük" by Angelika Sinn

In cooperation with Villa Sponte, the Bremer Literaturkontor and Sujet Verlag cordially invite you to the Bremen book premiere of Angelika Sinn's travel journal Between Heaven and Tündük.

The matinée will take place on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in Villa Sponte, Osterdeich 59B.

About the book:

Angelika Sinn's travel journal is no ordinary report; it is a story about the encounter with a wondrous country - Kyrgyzstan:
An invitation to a symposium for artists and writers takes the author to a yurt camp on the lonely mountain lake Issyk Kul. But it's not so much the exchange between artists that becomes a profound experience, but rather nature itself that gives her the happiness of brief moments of merging with the unfamiliar landscape.
In poetic images, Angelika Sinn tells how Kyrgyzstan "catapults" her out of her familiar "worlds". But also unexpected encounters with locals, an almost kidnapping or an overnight stay in a guesthouse that turns out to be a brothel, let the reader share in their special experiences, which "the smell of wet felt" will also evoke at home.

Angelica Sinn:

Angelika Sinn lives and works in Bremen and Worpswede. She studied pedagogy as well as literature and art and works as a freelance author, text artist and speaker in literary writing.
Sinn publishes short stories, biographies, short stories, lyrical texts and prose miniatures. In exhibitions she presents text objects, artist books, text-sound installations and literary performances. She also leads writing workshops, workshops and seminars.
