The eight authors of the anthology "How to take life with you" originally come from Syria, Chile, Venezuela, Iran, Bangladesh and Turkey. They all now live in Germany. For two years they took part in a writing workshop run by Angelika Sinn at the Bremer Literaturkontor, where they came to writing through storytelling. They wrote their poems and stories in German. Experiences with terror, violence, war and flight were also discussed. The focus of the literary work, however, was on the authors' memories of the time before that, of childhood and family, love and friendship, small events and big events, of the everyday and special aspects of every life.
