We look forward to the book premiere of Schirin Nowrousian's new volume of poetry "Gläserne Fehde" on November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the Villa Ichon!

Transparent feud" takes on the fear and sadness as well as dealing with both, and sometimes quite directly, without beating around the bush, in all fragility and force. And at the same time, laughter and smiles run through the volume - they are woven into the pages of the book like fine threads. "Gläserne Fehde" is also full of lively language and musicality through language(s).

And on the evening of the book premiere there will be more music in addition to the music of the texts, because to celebrate the publication of the volume, Schirin Nowrousian and Marcus Wesche will bring their lutes and thus make the reading musical not only with words but also with sounds!

Glass feud

Transparent Feud, Schirin Nowrousian's new volume of poetry, is extraordinary in several respects: it is a volume that takes on the subject of fear and sadness, sometimes quite directly, without beating around the bush, in all its fragility and force, which requires courage. And at the same time it is a volume full of linguistic vitality and musicality through language: in addition to texts in German and English, Persian and Lithuanian sprinkles, there are lines in Portuguese and French, to which their German versions are always attached. There are also two poems, one in French, one in Spanish, which did not come from Schirin's pen, but from the pens of two fellow poets, and whose delicate translations the author has included in the volume - like tender soul mates from a very short distance.

Shirin Novosian

Schirin Nowrousian, born and raised in the Ruhr area, currently lives in Bremen's Umzu. She studied Romance Studies, German Studies and Art History in Germany and France (Mainz, Dijon, Berlin) as well as Theater, Literature and Translation Studies in Paris. From September 2014 to August 2017 she worked at the University of Vilnius in Lithuania. In addition to poetry publications in literary magazines, anthologies and special editions in Germany, Belgium, the USA, Great Britain and Lithuania, her debut volume Ziryabs Gnu was published in 2008 in a bilingual (German-English) edition with audio CD by Farpoint Recordings in Dublin. In June 2012, the two volumes of poetry Ast - است and Aus Paris heute... were published by Sujet Verlag, the second edition of which was published in spring 2016. Together with Ziryab's gnu they form the trilogic of the handle. Transparent Feud is Schirin Nowrousian's fourth volume of poetry.
