Eberhard Pfleiderer: Zwangst

“It is high time to face the creeping fascization of our country artistically and literary. This book also wants to make it clear that dealing with tanning and brown floors is never over. Its goal is a humane society.”

Description

Reading sample:

lying press out! (SZ, 8.9.2018)
A Muslim refugee
you just have pork
give to eat
and if he doesn't eat it
he's starving
an outraged citizen roars into the AFD microphone
I'll write that down
He writes that down
the greaser
his neighbor warns him
Satisfied, the angry citizen is outraged about it

Press reviews:

The author tries to take the tanning language in our society at its word and to observe it on its way to inhumanity, and he tries not to grasp this as an isolated phenomenon, but as a societal process.
His browned texts and accompanying acrylic paintings are based on current newspaper reports. One thing is very clear for Pfleiderer:
Fascization is not a quasi-natural, irreversible process. There are alternatives – we just have to use them.
