Biography
Birgid Hanke works as a freelance journalist and writer in Bremen and has published numerous non-fiction and travel books. Writing for children gives her an opportunity to live out her own imagination. Her two daughters and their friends also encourage her to tell the stories. Ignaz Igel is her second children's book, which will be followed by many more.
