Jokha Alharthi

Biography

Jokha Alharthi (*1978) is an Omani writer and academic. She holds a PhD in Classical Arabic Literature from Edinburgh University and is a Lecturer in Arabic Literature at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. Her literary publications include three novels, two children's books and a collection of short stories. Jokha Alharthi won the 2019 Man Booker International Prize for Sayyadat al-qamar and the English translation by Marilyn Booth.
