prophecy according to nature

Prophecy According to Nature offers a unique introduction to the work of one of the defining voices of contemporary Spanish poetry, and includes a selection of 50 poems from García Román's complete works. García Román's poems are a meditation on our post-metaphysical age and ask how bonds can assert themselves in the midst of extreme ephemerality. Another central motif of García Román's poetry is the confrontation with the environment. His poetry is characterized by a pronounced love of experimentation. The focus is on the ambitious program of an ironic neuromanticization, which on the one hand addresses the exhaustion of myths and on the other hand, in contrast to our digitized environment, provocatively pursues a bucolic utopia that also contains elements of folk tales.

Translated from Spanish by Piero Salabè.
