Author reading: Gerrit Wustmann reads from “Nothing about it is funny”
13. March a 20:00 - 21:30
A widower receives a visit from his dead previous tenant. A hypochondriac finds a cure for eternal health - but there's a nasty catch. A little girl has a new imaginary friend... with murderous intentions. An official wants to check whether a person exists - and has forms with fatal consequences in his luggage. A man hears a mysterious knocking sound over and over again, slowly driving him crazy. And a homicide detective gets lost in the middle of a terribly bad crime script.
The radio channel Tee De Cologne Cologne writer Gerrit Wustmann reads stories full of deep black humor, populated by desperate people, losers and other ghosts. He talks about genre literature, why the dark needs humor and how crime fiction could be saved. And why the short story finally needs a revival in the flood of novels.
Gerrit Wustmann, *1982 in Cologne, is a freelance writer and journalist. Nothing About It Is Funny is his thirteenth book. He has received several awards for his literary work.
