Jens-Ulrich Davids

Biography

Jens-Ulrich Davids was born in Hamburg in 1942. He studied English, German and cultural studies in Hamburg, Bangor and Tübingen. Until 2004 he worked first as a German teacher at the Institute of Technology in Madras (Chennai) and later as an academic advisor in English studies at the University of Oldenburg. Today he lives as a free-floating gray head in Bremen. He is married and has a daughter. Moments in Namibia is after Raked out of the dark and My nights with Odysseus, his third volume of poetry. his novel Frankenstein's heirs was published in 2012. He has also published short stories in various anthologies, most recently in Death in the Ratskeller: Evil beakers in Bremen (2016).
Davids is a member of the wording group and a board member of the Bremer Literaturkontor.
