Barbara Meyer was born in Detmold in 1963, studied painting and graphics at the European Art Academy in Trier, the HFK Bremen and at summer academies in Salzburg and Traunkirchen, and has had her own studio since 2008. Since 2010 her works can be seen regularly in solo and group exhibitions and she is a member of the artist groups Kunst35 and panopticon. Together with other artists, she has implemented various projects, including book illustrations, graphic portfolios and calendars. Today she lives and works in Misselwarden on the Wurster North Sea coast.
