We freWe are very pleased that our founder Madjid Mohit was honored with the Bremen Diversity Prize 2018! At the award ceremony on December 10, 2018, "the gardener of aerial roots" was honored as a diversity personality 2018.
The prize is awarded to companies, organizations, as well as initiatives and personalities who are committed to diversity and equal opportunities in a special way.
When Madjid Mohit looks up from his desk, he sees a large picture of a suspension bridge in a tropical forest. She looks shaky, her end is not clearly visible, a veil of fog lies ahead. Entering it will require courage, as the viewer immediately realizes. Opposite this picture, Mohit has it in his back when he sits, that of a radiant young woman hangs, it shows his daughter. The family in the back, the bridge in view: Both pictures together express very well what drives Mohit, what makes the Iranian who works with his sujet publishing house to create connections between people.
On Monday, the 57-year-old was honored in the town hall by Mayor Carsten Sieling (SPD) as "Diversity Personality 2018". So as a Bremen native who is particularly committed to diversity, against discrimination and for equal opportunities. Mohit has been giving a voice through his publishing house "for more than 20 years, primarily to politically persecuted authors from Iran, African and Arabic countries, where human rights are hardly respected," the jury judged.
