Description
Amir Shaheen follows the tracers of light in our time and also detects the residual light on darker days. Seas, roads, departures and farewells, elapsing and badly used days, the time that one never had or that still remains, the ephemeral, the futile, home or being homeless are recurring images and motifs in this collection. A number of poems can be specifically located in the present, on the North Sea, on a North German Hallig or Greek islands as well as in the cities where the poet lives and stays. Beyond observation and description, far beyond what has been lived or experienced, some poems point to the spiritual - not least the excellent Sediment.
