Widad Nabi: Invisible Fractures (German/Arabic)

Description

About the author:

Widad first started writing as an impersonator and began to develop her own voice from it. She rediscovered this voice in Berlin, now influenced by the experiences of the war in Syria, the flight and the arrival in Germany. Even today, she still thinks a lot about her hometown of Aleppo. "I especially miss the old market with its multitude of smells: cardamom, perfume, fabric and spices." Sometimes, she says, it feels as if her subconscious is still in Syria.
