On April 19, 2024, the Else Lasker Student Prizes were awarded in Wuppertal, including a sponsorship prize for the first time in 20 years. This year's poetry funding prize, worth €2,000, goes to the author Sarah Kiyanrad. Kiyanrad is a poet, translator and Iranian scholar and teaches Iranian cultural history in Munich. Her volume of poetry “Years after you” was recently published at our publishing house. It's about places and people who have settled into oblivion, about small and large things that are lost before our eyes. We congratulate the author on her success!
