"My Three Lyrical I's” with poetry by Ramy Al-Asheq

Three very haunting voices from contemporary literature come together for the first edition of this year's "meine Drei lyrische Ichs". Viennese author Puneh Ansari is known for her masterfully dystopian posts that cleverly dissect social mechanisms, are full of sarcastic humor and combine existential themes with the mundane. At microtext a first selection of her posts appeared with Hoffnun’ 2017. The poet, journalist and curator Ramy Al-Asheq is coming from Berlin. He is co-organizer of the “Arabic-German Literature Days” and co-editor of the Arabic-German culture magazine “FANN”. After five volumes in Arabic, a selection of his poems, which “make it possible to experience the scandal of the simultaneity of war and peace” (Monika Rinck), is now also available in German translation (Sujet Verlag 2019). The poet and musician Mira Mann is a guest from Munich. Her brilliant debut volume Poems of Fear (parasitenpresse 2019) was followed in autumn by the equally celebrated EP Ich mag das (Problembär Records), whose lyrics are based on the poems. She will u. read unpublished texts from her second volume of poetry, which will be published later this year.
