"The text attempts to build bridges between Iran and Europe and establish real and imagined connections between the two cultures and addresses the themes of migration, borders and home through an autobiographical guide. Among other things, various experiences in Berlin and France as well as from childhood in Iran and the later return trip to the country of birth, Iran, are evoked. Some European figures also appear – Heiner Müller, Beckett and Janacek. lifting of borders is an examination of the concepts of cultural and geographical boundaries.
The lecture-performance concluded his work at the Odeon-Théâtre de l’Europe as “Artist in Residence” in the 2011/12 seasonlifting of borders (Abolition of borders) premiered in June 2012 and was revived in Marseille in 2014. It was in Germanlifting of borders premiered as part of the “Sehnsucht Europa” festival in Bremen in 2018.” (Erfurt Theater)
