Author reading with Nassir Djafari from "Mahtab"

The protagonist Mahtab, a nurse, emigrated from Iran to Frankfurt with her husband and three children in the 1950s. The turbulent 1968s posed new challenges for them too. Torn between her traditional moral values ​​and the freedoms of modern western life, she has to find her own way in order to find herself. Nassir Djafari sensitively accompanies the development of his protagonist.

The reading takes place in the DENKBAR as part of the "Days of Exile" of the German National Library.
