On 07.08. Nassir Djafari will present his latest book "Mahtab" in the Schutt bookshop at the clock tower in Frankfurt. The book was only published by our publishing house this year and accordingly you should not miss the event under any circumstances.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to read the novel or deal with the author, here is the most important information for you:

About the book:

The late 1960s in Frankfurt are politically and socially turbulent times in which old certainties begin to falter. Especially for Mahtab, who immigrated from Iran with her husband and three children a decade earlier. Nassir Djafari also shows himself in his second novel as an accomplished and sensitive narrator who describes the development of his main character in a coherent and exciting way and accompanies him with critical sympathy.

About the author:

Nassir Djafari, born in Iran in 1952, has lived in Germany since he was five. He studied economics in Frankfurt and has held various positions in German and international development cooperation. Djafari has written numerous specialist articles and book contributions on the economic and political challenges in developing and emerging countries. One week, one life was his first novel

Katharina Deschka (FAZ) will moderate the event and Susanne Kohnen will provide the music on the flute and oboe.
