About the book
In his autobiographical work "A Life in German '", the English Germanist and Holocaust researcher David Scrase can look back on an eventful life between England, Germany and the USA. With fine humor and great openness, he tells of his childhood in war, the formative trips to Germany, his academic career, his year as a temporary teacher in Bremen and his commitment to the culture of memory.
About the author
David Scrase was born in England in 1939 and studied German studies and Romance studies in Bristol. He later worked as a university lecturer at the University of Zurich before moving to the USA in 1969 and did her doctorate. From 1971 he worked as a professor of German literature at the University of Vermont and in 1991 became the founding director of the "Center for Holocaust Studies"

Anna Scrase, the author's daughter, will musically covers the evening in a suitable atmosphere.
