Book premiere “Stolpersteine in Bremen – Search for Biographical Traces. Band 7: Hemelingen / Osterholz” by Peter Christoffersen and Barbara Johr in the parish hall “Die Brücke” of the Ev. reconciliation church

We are looking forward to the book premieres of Volume 7 “Hemelingen / Osterholz” of the publication series “Stumbling Blocks in Bremen – Biographical Search for Traces” by Peter Christoffersen and Barbara Johr. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the “Die Brücke” parish hall of the Ev. Reconciliation Community, Sebaldsbrücker Heerstr. 52, instead. As part of a musical reading, excerpts from Rainer Iwersen's volume will be performed; Dieter Weische provides the musical accompaniment.
In addition to the biographical outlines, the volume contains articles on the history of the districts: traces of the Nazi era, Jewish cemetery Hastedt, Eastern Jews in Sebaldsbrück, Bremen mental hospital. Other contributions are: Everyday life of Bremen's Jews during the Nazi era, Jewish cattle trade in Bremen, Bremen's Jews in sports, "Poland Action" 1938, Gestapo in Bremen.
