IRANIAN EVENINGS (Bremen): Reading with Fariba Vafi

We dedicate our last reading to Fariba Vafi, who in 2017 with her work Tarlan won the LIBERaturpreis. The incredibly successful author has now presented a new book: The Dream of Tibet. Again, Fariba Vafi addresses the desire for freedom - the dream of self-determination. Because while the young Scholeh flees from lovesickness to her relatives and begins to observe them, she increasingly questions her understanding of happiness and contentment.
Fariba Vafi is from Tabriz, Iran but currently resides in Tehran. She is one of Iran's most popular contemporary authors. She has already been awarded the Huschang Golschiri and Yalda prizes there.
