IRANIAN EVENINGS (Bremen): Reading with Mahmood Falaki

We are pleased to present Mahmood Falaki's first novel written in German: Deadly Strangers. Falaki comes from northern Persia, where he was condemned for his political and literary work. Today he lives in Germany and deals with topics related to finding one's identity, cultural exchange and language.

In Deadly Strangers, Nima, a Hamburg teacher, decides to return to his native Iran after decades to escape the chaos around him. But in Iran, a culture shock awaits him and a strange feeling of being a stranger. We are pleased that dr. Wolfgang Schlott we will moderate the event and we would like to thank Horst Lilienthal for his support!
