On Friday, April 4th at 6:30 p.m. Suleman Taufiq Hold a bilingual reading in Arabic and German. This reading is part of the program of Poetry of the world, organized by the Volkshochschule Aachen.
Suleman Taufiq is a German-Syrian author and is known as a poet, storyteller, music critic, publicist, editor and translator of Arabic literature and lives in Aachen.
His first volume of poetry in German was published in 1978. In addition to poems, novels, short stories and essays, he writes stories for children and translates Arabic works into German and numerous German poets into Arabic. He has also worked as an author for television and radio, e.g. for WDR, hr, SWR and DLR.
