The night is endless
Two refugees in Berlin. One came from East Germany, the other from Iran. For almost twenty years they have been a couple searching: for themselves, for each other, for a common language. They watch each other, wait for each other, search for a formula for the infinity of being, for the finitude of life, for the impossibilities of interpersonal relationships.
In his multi-layered novel, Pedro Kadivar ("Little Book of Migrations") explores what it means to be human, what flight, experiences of violence, love, closeness and everyday insecurities mean. He skilfully interweaves the big questions of our time with important motifs from philosophy and literature.
