Prague - a place of memory and longing, even for those who have never been there. Where streets, alleys and bridges are reminiscent of artists, poets or composers. Where house facades along the wide embankment overflow with lush, rampant plants and stone fruits, in baroque churches the legends of the saints shine from the glass windows. Where I encounter history, the relationship of the Czechs to the Germans, the Germans to the Czechs. Where Lidice is located 22 km away from Prague.
Where I explore the inconspicuous places, beyond tourist attractions. And spell the Czech names on streets, squares and train stations.
