We look forward to five short stories by five wonderful authors!
About the authors:
Lana Lux is a German-speaking writer, illustrator and presenter of Ukrainian-Jewish origin. She was born in Dnipro in 1986, emigrated to the Ruhr area in 1996 and has lived in Berlin since 2010. Her debut novel Kukolka was published in 2017, her second novel Hunter and Gatherer was published in 2020, and her third novel Orderly Conditions followed in 2024 by Hanser Berlin.
Jakob Nolte, born in 1988, grew up in Barsinghausen am Deister. His plays have won several awards and been performed at numerous stages in Europe. His debut novel ALFF was awarded the 2016 Literature Art Prize. His novel Terrible Violence was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2017. He is co-curator of the website tegelmedia.net and lives in Berlin. Short book about Tobias is his first book published by Suhrkamp Verlag.
JULIANNA (Julia Knaß & Anna Neuwirth), who lives in Graz, Bad Vöslau and Berlin, write about cracks, jellyfish, daddies and mostly together. You are in the editorial department of the literary magazine Mix. Publications in magazines (including Archipel, Bella Triste, spektik and Hot Topic). Published by SUKULTUR Ist das 1 Literature in 2021, DADDY in 2024. When they're not writing, they're sending nudes.
Gerrit Wustmann, *1982 in Cologne, is a freelance writer and journalist & Translator. He has 14 books as an author & Publisher published and has received several awards for his work. Most recently, his story collection “Nothing about it is funny” (Bremen 2023) and his translation of the short stories by Steve Rasnic Tem “The Slow Falling of Dust in a Quiet Place” (Hamburg 2024) were published.
Doris Konradi lives and works as a freelance author in Cologne. She publishes novels, short stories and short prose. Most recently, her novel “But the Island” (2022) and the collection of short stories “The Chicken Eater” (2024) were published, both by Elsinor Verlag. For years she has been working on interdisciplinary art projects with artists from other disciplines. This resulted in performances, exhibitions and the publications “Am Rand der Haut” (published in 2020 by wortschau Verlag) and “Perpetuum – a text-image journal (2021 Edition Melos) with drawings by Dorissa Lem. She has received numerous awards and scholarships for her work. Among other things, scholarships from the Kunststiftung NRW and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Sponsorship award for the Ruhr Literature Prize (2017) and the erostepost Literature Prize (2023).
