2nd Bremen Literature Night

At this year's Bremen Literature Night we are looking forward to hearing news from Inge Buck, Gunther Gerlach and Schirin Nowrousian at our publishing house. Under the title Poetry in two languages ​​(German and Persian) The three authors will read from their volumes of poetry published this and last year. The publisher and translator Madjid Mohit reads the Persian versions of some of the poems.

Inge Bucks “Night Wind” – poems about the unstoppable passage of time, which we are constantly reminded of: in the rhythm of the seasons, in places where present and history meet, in loss.

Gunther Gerlachs “…and throws into the sea the silver seeds of the stars” – poems and drawings from dreams and memory, shadows and light, water and stone to vast landscapes and places, carried by a linguistic rhythm that sometimes creates a pull.

Shirin Nowrousians “Glass Feud” – fear that occupies the body, that bypasses. And dealing with her. What is densely packed and even oppressive is opposed to what is light; Anger and sadness are met with calm and silence, with dance, with a smile or laughter that transforms and liberates.
