Bremen book premiere: Gunther Gerlach – Only when the poppies bloom

Am June 30th we present in our new publishing house in the Bornstr. 18 Gunther Gerlach's new volume of poetry "Only when the poppy blooms". In addition to exhibited drawings from the book, it will follow the reading a Conversation give with the artist.
Since 2017 has Gunther Gerlach accompanying his sculptural and graphic work with the newly published book, "Erst when the poppy blooms", and three already presented
volumes of poetry published a collection of poems of almost 600 pages. As in his sculptural work, the focus is on the search for form and its resolution. Schematic experiences and observations merge in multi-layered metaphors. They hint at events, ask questions and create a unique atmosphere in each poem. They always remain sketches of an unknown larger whole. Past and dreamlike let us sympathize and breathe a sigh of relief.
