Two poetic voices in poetic dialogue: poems and characters in German and Persian by Inge Buck and Madjid Mohit.
In the anthology"The World is a September Day" all poems are presented in text and writing in two languages. In conversations about pictures, words and stories, the poems were translated into the other language in a poetic exchange, the German poems into Persian, the Persian poems into German.
In addition to the linguistic transmissions, the poems by Inge Buck and Madjid Mohit also correspond on a second level. In the juxtaposition of the poems, lyrical patterns meet in a special way. Among other things, there are motifs related to time, fear and dreams, to the moment, distance and freedom, which are presented in two languages on the pages of the book of poems
"The world is a September day“: The lyrical dialogue between the poems by Madjid Mohit and Inge Buck is at the same time in a field of tension between the Western and Eastern worlds, between strangeness and familiarity, closeness and distance, connoted by one’s own cultural and biographical experiences. An adventure of encounter in word, text and writing.
"Years gone/forgotten/like time/that never was”writes Inge Buck and on the opposite page Madjid Mohit answers "I'm always looking for / the worn shoes / Hidden in the pocket of time.
