Reading and conversation with Doğan Akhanlı

In cooperation with the Weimar Art Festival and the Goethe Institute, a cultural program around the awarding of the Goethe Medal 2019 will take place.

The evening before this year's Goethe Medal is awarded Doğan Akhanlı from his novel "Madonna's Last Dream" read. There will also be a conversation with the UFA's chief dramaturge, Thomas Laue, take place. Following the reading, the two will talk together about Doğan Akhanlı's life so far as well as his special cultural and political commitment, which is particularly reflected in his works.
