Catch-up event “Reading with Widad Nabi and Dinçer Güçyeter”

The reading with Widad Nabi and Dinçer Güçyeter as part of “Travelling into Literature” that was canceled on September 30, 2022 is coming back! Jens Laloire will be present as moderator and the volume of poetry “Invisible Brackets” and the volume of poetry “My Prince, I am the Ghetto” will be presented at the reading.
"Invisible Breaks” is about unfathomable love, looking back at the past, searching for home. She gives an openly feminist insight into her identity as a woman and mother. As usual, she deals with her experiences with illness and suffering in her poems in a personal and approachable way. The contact with other cultures and languages that characterizes Widad Nabi's works is expressed through the attempt at a literary dialogue with the most important poets and authors in literary history, such as Paul Celan and Ingeborg Bachmann.
Dinçer Güçyeter, the author and publisher of Elif Verlag, won the Peter Huchel Prize 2022 with the volume of poetry “My Prince, I am the Ghetto”. In this book he expresses the roots of his homeland and his family and the confrontation of new ideas about life.
The reading is in cooperation with the Literaturkontor Bremen and Villa Ichon.
