,, who came to Germany from Tehran in 1990 as a political refugee, founded Sujet Verlag in Bremen in 1996. Today his focus is cross-border literature, written by authors who are at home in two or more languages ​​and cultures. “Aerial root literature,” Mohit calls it. He also translates himself from Persian into German and vice versa. In 2015 he was awarded the Hermann Kesten Prize from the German PEN Center and in 2018 as a Bremen Diversity Personality.

Shirin Novosian, born and raised in the Ruhr area, currently lives in Stapel after years in Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Brussels, Bremen and Vilnius. She is an author, poet and translator. In addition to writing and translating, she also works as a dramaturge, presenter and teacher. Most recently, her volume of poetry “Wilna-Worte/ Vilniaus žodžiai” was published by Schiler in 2022 & Mücke, Berlin/Tübingen.
