Sound sleep – live stream reading with Schirin Nowrousian

As part of the project “Many Languages ​​– One World”, the poet Schirin Nowrousian reads from her multilingual work. Schirin Nowrousian is an author, poet and translator and she writes in more than one language. She writes poems in German, French and sometimes English, and sometimes other languages ​​such as Lithuanian and Portuguese. For our event she is bringing texts in several languages ​​from all of her previous book publications (including from the volume “Gläserne Fehde” published by Sujet Verlag in 2019), a wonderfully colorful mix of her previous work, and there will even be texts from her next, be there for a book that has not yet been published! The poems, read in multiple languages, are combined with explanations by the author of what it is like to live and write in multiple languages. The musician Chia Hejri will accompany the reading with his drumming.
