Suleman Taufiq from Aachen is a German-Syrian author and is known as a poet, storyteller and translator of Arabic literature. Born in 1953, Taufiq spent his childhood in Damascus before studying philosophy and comparative literature in Germany in 1971 after graduating from high school.
