Description
Farokhzad was not just an elegiac poet who dreamily and mournfully traced the contours of native minarets. There are other poems - about the divided Berlin, about the dictatorship - that show him as a committed poet. Poetically, Farokhzad deals with "anti-poetry" themes, and this eye for the political-social gives his language an unexpected topicality, both in the Shah period and after the Iranian revolution.
Freydoun Farokhzad was born in Tehran in 1936 and murdered in Bonn on August 3, 1992. He studied political science in Munich and published poems in German newspapers and magazines. Martin Walser presented him in the anthology Vorzeichen 2 – Nine new German authors with eleven poems in front. He gained great popularity and popularity as a showmaster, singer, actor and poet both in Iran and in Germany. Farokhzad, who rests in Bonn's North Cemetery, is more popular today than ever. He lives on in our memory today not only as a charming personality with unforgettable works, but also as a martyr and hero.

He was a man who was beyond his time. His art and intellect were beyond the merit and worth of Iranians during the Islamic Revolution. He will always be a unique myth for the new generation of Iranians.
