Bilingual reading with Fariba Vafi

On June 25, 2021, the Iranian community would like to invite all interested parties to a digital reading with the Iranian author Fariba Vafi as part of the project "Your values - my values - our values". Susan Zare will moderate the event. The special thing about this evening will be that the texts will be presented in both German and Persian and then there will be a conversation in both languages.
Fariba Vafi will, among other things, from her as yet unpublished book In the rain read, which will be published by Sujet Verlag later this year. In the rain is a collection of short stories in which Fariba Vafi tells of the everyday experiences of women in Iran in the usual realistic and entertaining style. The stories will be translated from Persian by Jutta Himmelreich.
Fariba Vafi is one of the most important contemporary authors in Iran, where she currently resides. She has already received numerous awards. In 2017, Fariba Vafi received the renowned LiBeratur Prize for her work Tarlan.
The reading is organized by the Iranian community in cooperation with Sujet Verlag.
