An Anahite evening with Nava Ebrahimi and Fariba Vafi

The subject author Farbia Vafi will on 29. September after Wien come. Together with Nava Ebrahimi she will read from her literary works

The event is dedicated to the Iranian feminist movement “Woman, Life, Freedom” and will take place in Persian and German.

Nava Ebrahimi (born in Iran) is a German writer. Her novel Sixteen Words has repeatedly received awards. In 2021 she won the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize for her text “The Cousin”. Based on this award-winning novel, the play “The Cousins” premiered in the Volkstheater darkroom in 2023.

Fariba Vafi (born in Iran) is an Iranian writer. Her books have been reprinted more than 30 times and translated into Italian, Spanish, English, German, French, Kurdish, Armenian, and Norwegian. With her minimalist, poetically rich language, Vafi is one of the most innovative voices in contemporary Persian women's literature.
