Reading with Amir Shaheen in Vienna

Am 0March 4, 2022 a 7:00 p.m loads the Vienna Main Library for reading "Freedom to the Word XXXIV - A Bilingual Reading in German and Persian: The Scent of That River" one, at the next Amir Shaheen four other poets present their texts in the form of poetry and prose. They come from different cultures and geographies and transport different language images and worlds of thought. In their works, they show a poetic examination of themes such as origin, past, childhood, longing, separation, migration, exile and a wealth of languages.

Maria Seisenbacher (Austria), literary scholar, poet, editor
Amir Shaheen (Germany), writer, poet, lyricist, freelance journalist, editor
Novshad Sharifian (Iran), civil engineer, poet, literary translator
Soheil Zamani (Iran), poet, musician, singer, freelance journalist and moderator

The event will be accompanied by “Aberrazzi's” improvisational music. The moderation and translation takes over Gorji Marzban.
