Inge Buck: The Limits of Summer

They are stories that play on borders, borders between seasons and times of life, between country and city life, the everyday and the unreal, the present and the past, between desire and reality, between life and death. As if under a magnifying glass, the interfaces are illuminated, making the breaking points visible in love relationships and life plans, in domesticity and on the move, escape routes to places that cannot be reached.

Now as an expanded new edition with an introduction by Prof. Dr. Gert Sautermeister and an addendum by Inge Buck collaboration with Lothar Bührmann.

Lothar Bührmann accompanied Inge Buck's prose with his cartoons, colored drawings executed with a light, elegant hand; With their diverse symbols they form comments on the narrative texts and short dramas. After each text, the reader can turn his eyes to the cartoons and freely express his impressions of reading, receive suggestions and impulses from them and trust in their subtle humor.
