Bilingual reading on night wind
Inge Buck and Madjid Mohit read from “Nachtwind” in German and Persian. Autumn and yet no autumn at the end of a summer: poems about the rhythm of the seasons and their imperceptible loss. With Hölderlin on the banks of the Neckar and Maria Theresia in the baroque garden in Vienna: poems about places and cities where past and present meet, where history becomes tangible. Poems about the horrors of the present that disrupt and disturb everyday life as the night wind sweeps around the house. And again and again the inexorable passage of time is the theme of the poems: evening comes and then morning again, while the news of death does not stop the clocks. There is undeterred talk about the beauty of the earth, about hidden roots, moving clouds, bird calls, about moments of perception and recognition. Musical accompaniment: Madjid Mohit, guitar, vocals
