Inge Buck and Madjid Mohit read from “Nachtwind” in German and Persian. Autumn and yet no autumn at the end of a summer: poems about the rhythm of the seasons and their imperceptible loss. With Hölderlin on the banks of the Neckar and Maria Theresia in the baroque garden in Vienna: poems about places and cities where past and present meet, where history becomes tangible. Poems about the horrors of the present that disrupt and disturb everyday life as the night wind sweeps around the house. And again and again the inexorable passage of time is the theme of the poems: evening comes and then morning again, while the news of death does not stop the clocks. There is undeterred talk about the beauty of the earth, about hidden roots, moving clouds, bird calls, about moments of perception and recognition. Musical accompaniment: Madjid Mohit, guitar, vocals

We dedicated the evening of December 17, 2019 to the Bremen artist Lothar Bührmann, who died in August of this year. A reading with Inge Buck, Cornelius Kopffinke, Rudolph Bauer and Madjid Mohit took place in Villa Ichon. Not only poems that Lothar Bührmann had illustrated were read, but also texts by and about him. There was also musical accompaniment by Majid Mohit. The poems we read can be found in the special edition “Lothar Bührmann in words and pictures” which was published by us in October. It should honor his memory and keep him in our memories always.

We are pleased to announce that Inge Buck's new volume of poetry "Nachtwind" will be released next April! A little sample first: A summer's day Waiting until the sun comes out from behind the clouds and the blue of the sky can be seen, sitting in the sun and waiting for nothing more when the noise of an airplane has receded... The poems are accompanied by illustrations by Lothar Bührmann .
